Due to the circumstances out of our control, and for the safety of our loved ones, we have yet another change of plans for our wedding celebration. "It All Started with a Beer" at "The Great Mississippi Valley Fair". During one of the concerts during the fair in August 2010, Laura may or may not have been a little paranoid while holding a beer while she was underage and saw an undercover cop walking around. Panicking (shocker), Laura asked David, who was standing near her, to hold her beer because he looked older than 21, although he wasn't either. They made it through the concert and hung out after the concert and throughout the rest of the fair week. David finally asked Laura to go on a date on 8.9.10, officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on 8.27.10, and have been in love ever since!

It was Laura's 28th birthday and her friends were all road tripping from Iowa for their annual trip to Indy to visit. Apparently, David had been sneaky and was plotting an engagement with Laura's bestie, Natalie. When everyone arrived, Laura gave everyone the grand tour of her and David's new house prior to icing all of them. Laura was then told to open birthday gifts before going out for margaritas. As Laura was opening gifts, David was awkwardly standing behind the couch which went unnoticed by Laura. As Laura got to the last gift from Natalie, it just so happened to be a photo of an engagement ring. Laura looked at David in disbelief and then looked at Natalie to see what was going on and noticed she was recording everything. David came around from behind the couch, got down on one knee, and said some things that neither he or Laura remember. Once Laura stopped cussing and thinking it was a joke, David put the ring on her finger and celebrated the rest of the night by FaceTiming and calling family and friends, and of course with tequila!
