Cheers to Covid-19! Nate and I both thought that our focus would be on writing our vows, not writing this message to our wedding guests. We have made a very difficult decision to postpone our “big, as-planned” wedding for the safety of those traveling to celebrate with us. When will the future celebration be? We have absolutely no idea at this time, we just know that it will be when it’s safe for everyone. Just don’t judge us when you show up and things still say “April 4th”. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and we thank you for your support in this extremely difficult decision. In the meantime, we will be thankful that we are still able to marry one another which is the most important part! Love, the future Mr. and Mrs. Girard
Welcome to our wedding website – we’re so glad you’re here. We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the need-to-know details in the lead up to our big day. Here you’ll find our schedule of timings and venue directions, along with our bridal party introductions and relationship history. We’d love for you to take a look around to learn more about our wedding day plans. And finally, thanks so much for all of your love and support so far! We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of our favorite people.
On July 3rd, 2018, Rebecca and her roommate, Abby, decided to host a small gathering at a local bar. Abby decided to invite Nate so he could meet Rebecca - basically, we were on a group blind date where neither of us knew if the other person knew we were being set up. We spent the night making jokes and playing board games. By time Nate left, Rebecca realized they hadn’t exchanged numbers. Turns out, Nate had actually left her a note on a papertowel that said, “Get ahold of me” with his number underneath (This note now hangs in our house as an awesome decoration). Fast forward one year to July 4th, 2019 and Nate proposed! We are so excited for marriage and to see where life takes us!
