They met some 4,000 feet up in the mountains of a small 'campo' in the Dominican Republic called Tireo. Former missionaries, Philip and Alese Wilson invited Rebecca to their afternoon preaching arrangements with the young, zealous Brother in their congregation. The instant they met, Luibert flashed a great, warm smile and Rebecca nervously forced out the only greeting in Haitian Creole she knew at the time: "Bonswa, Kijan ou ye?" With only a few weeks of learning the language, and no official service partner, Rebecca quickly became fond of this weekly service arrangement with the Wilsons, and her new language teacher, Luibert.
