August 2017 Kyle and Rebecca met in biochemistry class at The University at Buffalo. Kyle and Rebecca naturally gravitated toward one another and would end up sitting next to each other every class. Over the next couple of months, they would whisper jokes and small comments to each other, but neither one of them was brave enough to introduce themselves. One day, Rebecca introduced herself and asked if Kyle would send her notes from a class she had to miss. It was in this moment that Kyle was brave enough to ask.... "Can I have your email?" Rebecca gave him not only her email-- but also her phone number! They would soon go on their first date to Daily Planet a few weeks later. This coffee date turned into a four-hour conversation about everything and anything. And the rest was history!

5.20.23 Kyle had been planning this moment for over six months. With the help of each of their siblings and Rebecca's closest friends, Kyle set up a romantic spot at a breathtaking overlook in a quiet park. Rebecca's sister, Sarah, made sure her nails were done and that she was all dressed up before she went out to just "meet some friends for a drink." Kyle convinced her they needed to make a detour, and little did she know that all her favorite people were hiding nearby, ready to capture photos of the moment and celebrate the proposal! When Rebecca walked down the floral walkway and heard "Lover" by Taylor Swift begin to play, she was speechless at what was about to happen. She had no idea Kyle could keep a secret as big as this one! Kyle got down on one knee, proceeded to share his heart's dissertation, and Rebecca could not wait to say "YES!" The couple then went to share the happy news with their parents and friends, and toast to the start of their lives together!
