Somehow we matched online even though there was over 60 miles between us. Becca is the one who started the conversation first with, "Gilmore Girls, eh?" Though, at that point, she had not watched that show before but the last line on Dirk's profile stated he loved that show. Dirk was apprehensive to start the conversation first, since one of the photos Becca had showed off a wonderful camo hat and a big fish on a hook. Little did he know, she was reeling in her best catch! After many long night conversations, we finally met in the home town of Popeye for our first date. Dirk ended up driving almost an hour, and Becca not even 30 minutes. Our planned dinner and movie was not enough for us, we were not ready to end the date yet. We ended up driving the back roads of southern Illinois just talking and enjoying each other's company. We were so enamored and we knew we wanted to continue seeing where this relationship goes.
