Zoe and Rebecca met Freshmen year at Louisiana Tech University. After Rebecca blew through two “not-so-great” roommates, Zoe and Rebecca decided to take the leap and room together Sophomore year. What a great choice that was! They quickly became the best roommates, which lead to being best friends. Zoe and Rebecca roomed together in the beloved dorm of Aswell three years of college and then became grown-ups together and moved to an apartment, where they lived together two more years.
Andrew Gruntz
Best Man
Connor and Andrew met at Andrew's birth. It was a rocky relationship at the start. Once he could walk, Andrew would break all of Connor's toys. This led to Connor trying to push Andrew out of his first floor bedroom window and trying to trade Andrew away for a dog. However, they became good friends during high school. Their friendship has only gotten stronger in past years. Now Connor buys Andrew beer and Andrew gets Connor free lunch on campus. Connor and Rebecca now wish Andrew and David would be best friends.
Kristen Hirst
Matron of Honor
Kristen and Rebecca bonded over M&Ms and NCIS in Mr. Gann’s class during their Freshmen year of High School. Their friendship was meant to be, as they were both in JROTC at Airline. Kristen and Rebecca were “attached at the hips” often being called “Red” and “Fred” by their JROTC Sergeant Dawsey. The two did everything together, from high school dances to Yearbook. Although they hit a rough patch Senior year, their friendship truly stood the test of time and even after having lived in separate states for seven years when they’re together it’s as if they haven’t skipped a beat. Kristen, being the quiet introverted type, has always balanced out Rebecca, being the extrovert who wanted to be involved with everything.
Joseph Tamporello
Groomsman
Joseph and Connor met at Joseph's birth. They have been close friends ever since. They spent their childhood playing video games, riding golf carts around their great-grandfather's pond, and playing airsoft. They also spent plenty of time canoeing in boats that were notorious for not floating. Joseph was always cooler than Connor, but thats ok because Connor is older. Take that Joseph! Then Joseph moved away for college. This gave Connor the big sad. Move back Joseph!
Erin Comardelle
Bridesmaid
Erin and Rebecca met their Freshmen year of college through the ROTC program. It took awhile before they really hit it off, but when they realized all they had in common (especially their personalities, through Dr. Tobacyk’s class) the two spent many hours together. Erin’s first baby girl, Olivia became a “niece” to Rebecca after she was born since Rebecca was always at Erin’s house. Erin and Rebecca have bonded over many late nights studying...or lack thereof. The two have spent many hours cooking pizzas and dying hair and their friendship picks up where it left off any time they are together.
David Mark Huston II
Groomsman
David and Connor met during David's senior year of high school. They met because Connor was dating David's sister. At first Connor thought David was weird. David and Connor became close friends shortly after. They spend much of their friendship smoking cigars, playing video games, and talking about comic books. Connor has recently convinced David to grow out his hair. Good choice David! Rebecca and Connor still want Andrew and David to be best friends. This wedding was all a ruse to get them to be besties.
