When people say this is a small world, we are proof that it is! Our story beings a few years before we even started dating. We were in our early 20’s and out at the bar as usual, when i went to say hello to a friend we had in common, that’s when i first saw him and told the mutual friend he was cute. A year later, lo and behold at the bar again I saw him with the same mutual friend. This time i asked Colton to dance and he said he was there with anther girl. So he kindly rejected. Haha but that’s just where our story begins. A few months or so after that run in, the mutual friend that’s been around this entire time, invited me to a fire one night just to hang out, when i walked up i saw Colton again only this time by himself. As the night went on that fire ended and he asked me if i wanted to go with him and some friends back to his place for another fire and just to hang out longer, and i agreed. We stayed up all night just talking and talking until the early morning sun started rising. That’s when we both realized we had been talking or about 6-8 hours and everyone else had left. And just 2 weeks after that night we were living together and officially dating. I guess when you know, you know in this story, a short 9 months after being together Colton and I planned a trip to Oregon for Christmas with his family where he surprised me by proposing as we were out on a hike. And of course i said YES!
