A mid-pandemic dating app encounter led to rock-climbing which led to nothing, actually. Which is somewhat shocking considering the fact that Reagan 1) brought her best friend on the first date and 2) also took the biggest fall of her life.
Nearly a year of platonic study dates, book swaps, Mario Kart tournaments (in which Ethan still reigns undefeated), and even a failed attempt to set him up with one of her best friends which ended in Ethan driving a very concussed Reagan all the way from the ski resort to the emergency room.
Reagan flew to NYC to visit friends. Ethan went to visit his brother. In reality, they spent the entire week traipsing around the city just the two of them, wondering how they - two "just friends" - were having THIS good of a time. Needless to say, by the time they returned to Utah the "just friends" thing no longer applied.
Reagan moved to Austin, Texas for work while Ethan finished school in Utah. They once attempted to tally up the grand total spent on flights over that year-and-a-half-ish, but decided they would rather not know.
Having endured more Facetime dates than any couple deserves to, both Ethan and Reagan were elated to see the long-distance chapter come to a close. They got engaged on top of Snowbird Ski Resort (quite literally in the clouds) and every aspect of it was pristine and Reagan hasn't shut up about it since. Now, they're exploring a new home in Seattle where they're navigating grown-up jobs, jumping into Puget Sound on a monthly basis, and prepping to move to Boston for grad school this coming fall.
