Just when we thought the game was over...We hit a Homerun!!!

On June 19, 2011 at Heman Park we started an 8 inning game that sealed the win with a game changer proposal on February 3, 2019! We know you are anxious to hear all about this game so let’s play ball! After a kickball game which at the time was my Sunday ritual my teammates and I were hanging out recapping the game and deciding on what we were going to do for Father’s day. Since my parents were away at my brothers game I was in no rush to go anywhere. So as we cracked jokes and talked like we always do, a group of guys took a quick break from their pick up softball games to grab something to drink, their Sunday ritual, and small conversations sparked up. As we were standing there talking I immediately recognized Terrell because he use to play on my dad’s baseball team when he was younger and yes back then I thought he was handsome (lol). Reverting back to one of favorite movies “The Five Heartbeats” I told my teammate lets play shy brother lol. I gave her 2 questions to ask as I stood behind her not trying to be visible. 1. Ask him did he play baseball for the Braves? He responded “yes”. 2. Did you play for Coach Malcolm and Coach Sandford? He responded “yes how you know?” My teammate blew my cover her response was “this is Coach Sandford daughter” lol lol. Terrell response with his infamous laugh “ I didn’t know coach had a daughter I just knew Darian.” Well you know me and my facial expressions I looked at him like what you mean you didn’t know coach had a daughter lol. So of course there was that awkward moment of hey how you doing? how's your dad? and blah blah blah....At this point because my dad was not at home I'm saying to myself definitely no need to rush anywhere and my dad already knows him this is definitely the right time and right person so he better ask for my number before we all leave lol. Needless to say he knows coach daughter well now lol!

February 3, 2019 will be a day we will never forget. Well actually I guess we can never forget it because it's Terrell's birthday!!!! This story is a true definition of him...........So as always we celebrate his birthday by hosting the SuperBowl and more times than none his favorite team the PATRIOTS are playing. This year was a win win for everyone lol. In the past 8 years that we have been together Terrell always get a free gift from Helzberg for his birthday and each year he forgets to go get it. So this has always been our running joke because I always say " did you go get my birthday present" and his response is always " oh boy I forgot again and I really was going this year". So after the Patriots won I went upstairs to watch T.V., while him and his friends were still kicking it as usually, and fell asleep. Terrell comes to wake me up as always when the Patriots win but this time he says "look what I got" and puts something in my hand. Now mind you I am sleep so I politely threw what he placed in hand on the stand and went back to sleep. He comes back in the room and ask did you see it? At this point I am asking myself is he serious right now he is really interrupting my sleep lol. So I turn over and find the item I threw and it was the free gift he always FORGETS to get on his birthday. So I said " you finally remembered to get the gift this year and he responds on the side of the bed on his knee "I got this too". Now my eyes aren't adjusted because I am half way sleep so I seat up to see what he is saying and I am blinded by the diamond I was in complete SHOCK!!!! All I could hear when I came to was "well will you?" So am I guessing he asked me several times WILL YOU MARRY ME? lol. Of course I said YES!!!!!!!!!!! then proceeded with ALL the phone calls like it wasn't after 11:00pm and everyone wasn't sleep lol. So you see Terrell isn't an all about me person he celebrated me on his Birthday! So now 2.3.19 is like both of our day lol! #notaBLANDmoment
