Like many other millennials we met online. It’s funny because one of the many things we bonded over was how we had old school beliefs and values, however, we were both lost in the modern age dating world. We unknowingly lived 1.8 miles away from each other most of our lives. We probably even crossed paths at the local Blockbuster! It’s crazy to think how close we were and how destiny would bring us even closer. We started dating Summer 2021 and you can say it was love at first swipe. We had so much in common and we bonded over the intense sense of friendship and understanding we had toward one another. Like all good love stories this friendship turned into love and like they say, “the rest is history.” Our relationship developed at warp speed and although in hindsight we can say “whoa we were crazy!,” we wouldn’t change a thing. With this wedding we are excited to start the next chapter in our lives and to celebrate it with all of our loved ones.
In April 2022 Jimmy asked Alex Bellido one of the most important questions, “can I marry your daughter?” Alex’s response? “No returns!” … just kidding! (Kinda). Alex did eventually joke but his first question was “do you love each other?” To this, Jimmy confidently said, “yes!” For the next four months Jimmy planned the perfect time to ask Claudia for her hand in marriage. He designed a perfect ring and had Claudia’s close family and friends in the loop. It was a secret that was kept for FOUR months. But, secrets are hard to keep. The week before the weekend that Jimmy had planned to propose Alex Bellido let it slip. While it was sad to have lost the element of surprise, Jimmy had one more Hail Mary attempt to surprise Claudia. On the random Tuesday before the engagement was planned, Jimmy asked Claudia to go to dinner. Nothing special. Just dinner. The dinner was at Wave Sushi in Mount Dora, FL and as usual, it was delicious. It was after dinner that Jimmy asked Claudia to take a walk at sunset by Lake Dora. Claudia and Jimmy had a similar date a year before hand. Wave sushi and some downtown Mount Dora walking. It was on that date that Claudia told Jimmy how much she loved the old, big trees and gazebo of Lakeside Inn. A year later Jimmy took Claudia into that same gazebo and asked her the easiest question she had ever had to answer, “will you marry me?” To which Claudia responded, “yes!”
