Alex and Tiana met the last few months of their senior year of high school when they attended Junior Prom as Seniors. Their respected dates were best friends which forced them to mingle all night. From there, they continued to run into each other as their senior year came to a close. They texted back and forth for weeks and spent every minute after school together. Their relationship progressed and on June 20th, 2015 Alex asked Tiana to be his girlfriend during their senior trip in Newport Beach. After graduating high school, they attended DVC together for two years. As DVC came to a close, they feared what inevitably came next. They decided to try a long distance relationship while Tiana and Alex pursued their undergraduate degrees at Chapman University and UC Santa Barbara. As many couples, they went through the adversity that a long distance relationship presents. Eventually they decided to take some time apart to focus on themselves. After just being ‘friends’ for a stint, there was a time when Tiana attended UC Santa Barbara to achieve her master's in Special Education, at the same time Alex was completing his bachelor's degree at UC Santa Barbara. You could say that the stars aligned. The summer of 2019 in Santa Barbara is where it all began...again. After a few more years of hard work on their relationship, the two found themselves moving in together and happier than ever! They both knew it was only a matter of time until they were ready to take the next step towards forever. On April 8th 2023, Alex asked Tiana to marry him while watching the sunset at the beach, one of their favorite places to be together! Alex and Tiana are set to be married on October 11th, 2024 to officially become Mr. & Mrs. Raymond! They look forward to seeing you there! XOXO
