We actually met on Facebook! A few weeks later, he finally asked me out on what became a 5-part first date! It's crazy because I remember thinking during out date about how he keeps checking off boxes! Everything about him seemed to good to be true. I went home complaining how my face hurt from smiling so much. 3 months later, he tells me he cried when I went home the day before and knew he wanted his home to be mine as well! So I moved in and then John easily became the best part of my day, every single day! Now, I always have someone to go on rides with, to dance on the back porch with, to make trips to Uncle John's Cider Mill with when we just need donuts, who will play games with me and is so patient when I'm way behind! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!
I had never had any luck with dating sites before I met Raychel on Facebook Dating. We matched and about 2-3 weeks into talking, we set up our first date. That date started at a pottery painting place and later evolved into 4-5 dates mixed into one. We just couldn't get enough of each other. That date ultimately ended with us dancing around calling ourselves "Boyfriend and Girlfriend". All it took was one date to know and that pretty indicative of our relationship going forward. I invited to her to move in a couple months later and she did on Christmas Day of that year. Everyone thought it was pretty fast but hey, when you know, you know, you know? I proposed a year and a month into our relationship and haven't regretted a single moment of it. Things haven't always been easy but they've always been worth it. Worth it to see her face light up when I get home. Worth it to hear her contagious laugh at my dumbest jokes. Worth it to hold her when it seemed like the world was ending. She's my inspiration for being a better man, husband, dog dad, artist, and leader. She's everything to me.
