Common Ground Center
The wedding site, Common Ground Center, has 21 unique cabins and eight tent platforms clustered together in a maple grove about 100 yards from the Reception Hall. Cabins share a central bathhouse with hot water, electricity, flush toilets, and indoor and outdoor showers. They’re all within a short walk of the bathhouse. Cabins are electricity-free and linens for the beds are not provided. Guests will need to bring their own linens and towels. We have exclusive use of the Common Ground campus from 2pm Friday through 10am Sunday. The wedding ceremony will take place outside in one of their beautiful fields. The 700 acre campus includes two playgrounds, fields that will be set-up with lawn games, a tennis and basketball court, a swimming pond and creek, hiking trails, guided family nature walks, an activity barn (where yoga and kids' craft activities will be offered) and a reception hall which will be set-up as a central indoor and outdoor hang-out area (this is where the wedding reception will be held). There will also be access to a communal fridge if needed. Dinner on Friday, all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday will be provided. Everyone is invited to Camp Carol, our family compound on Lake Champlain, for lunch on Sunday as you head home. Reservations can be made by calling the Hotel directly at (802) 388-7600 prior to May 14, 2024, and identifying yourself as part of the Wells-Rothe wedding at the time the reservation is made in order to receive the special group rate of $219/night plus tax. Please note that all reservations require a valid credit card and cannot be completed without one. A two night minimum (Friday and Saturday) is required to receive the special rate.
