The dress code for our wedding is formal. Black tie optional. Men: Suit with a tie Women: Long or Short evening gowns including cocktail dresses Please NO jeans or sweats
The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. Guests will be allowed to start seating at 4:30pm.
If your invitation says "and family" please feel free to bring your children. If not, the couple would appreciate it if you could attend alone. Thank you!
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for him to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.
The ceremony will take place outside in The North Garden, on The Merion property. If it rains or is too cold, the ceremony will be moved inside, in the Palazzo Ballroom. Cocktail hour takes place inside but there is a bar and outside seating on the North Patio. The reception will take place inside, in the Palazzo Ballroom.
Yes! The Merion has valet service. Keep in mind that this venue could have up to four weddings that night, so it might take some time to get your car after the wedding. If you are staying at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, there will be a complimentary shuttle service taking guests to and from the hotel before and after the wedding.
