Our Story

We went to Saint Ben's/Saint John's and graduated together in 2009 but did not really know each other, just had a lot of mutual friends. We re-met in Nov 2014 when mutual friends all met at Hideaway Bar on Saint Anthony Main. A while later, a few of my friends challenged each other to go on 7 dates which lead us to meet again on Tinder in April 2016. We went on our first date at the end of April at Norseman Distillery and Insight Brewery. We decided to adopt a dog after Dave's lovely dog Jude passed away January 2019. We met Curry, one of nine puppies from a Bernese Mountain dog and Golden Retriever and immediately feel in love with his friendly personality and black fluff. We renamed him Otis Bach and we were able to bring him home March 2019. We closed on a house in Saint Paul at the end of May 2019. Dave had rented the house for about 5 years before his landlady Keely kindly offered the house to us. It is a classic 1922 Saint Paul house so we are excited for the many projects we will have the opportunity to complete to modernize it and re-shine some of its classic charm! We got engaged New Year's Eve 2019. We were having a normal day making brunch at home. Dave attempted to make my favorite, salmon eggs benedict. After wasting 12 eggs and a few sticks of butter in his attempt to make a perfect meal, I had enough decided that our ruined poached eggs and eggs benedict without hollandaise sauce was good enough for breakfast, I was getting hungry! Just after sitting down to eat breakfast Dave asked if I wanted to marry him. We had a cheers with fresh squeezed orange juice mimosas, one part of our breakfast that turned out perfect! We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in our adventure!
