How We Met

18.05.12

Back in the winter of 2011, whilst both Natalie and Allan worked in Asda, neither knew much of one and other. Natalie only knew of Allan as "Handsome Allan from fridges" and Allan only knew Natalie as "The girl with the red hair" until a mutual friend brought them together. A few months passed and it was time for Natalie to celebrate her 18th Birthday. Much to Natalie's surprise Allan came along to celebrate. It all started with some light flirting and sparks were flying for sure, and it wasn't long before both hit the dance floor together. On the way to the nearest taxi rank, and with Natalie without a jacket and heels that killed her feet, Allan gave up his jacket and his shoes for Natalie. Whilst they walked hand in hand along the busy streets of Glasgow, it felt like they were the only two people in the world. They spoke until the wee hours, about their life and what plans they had for the future, before Allan dropped Natalie home in a taxi after kissing her goodnight. From then on they spoke every day and texted all the time, Allan organised their first official date at The Boat House Restaurant at the Cameron House, they joked about how this would be their go to place for future special occasions. Over the coming weeks, their relationship blossomed until Allan asked Natalie to be his girlfriend on 22nd June 2012.

Our Story

In the next few years Natalie and Allan's relationship hit new levels and their love new heights. Both supported each other in all their endeavours , Allan helped Natalie to apply for her dream job and Natalie comforted Allan during scary movies and sad chick flicks. They took their first holiday together to Portugal and that sparked their sense of adventure, leading them to travel to many different cities and countries, ticking off each place on their travel bucket list together. They bought their first house in 2014, living together was a huge step in their relationship, they loved living together in their own little house on the hill. But something was missing... a year later they started their family...they got their first fur-child, a puppy they named Hudson. The little ginger fur ball who bought so much happiness that they decided to have another, and then comes Macy, fur-child number two. Their family was complete.

The Proposal

22.06.2017

After two years of no big holidays and suffering from some severe wanderlust, Allan surprised Natalie by booking a trip to Bali, which was high up on Natalie's bucketlist list. Allan planned the whole trip and the boy done his research, booking 4 luxurious hotels in different location, so they could soak up every bit of the place. On their anniversary, June 22nd, Allan told Natalie that he had organised a “tour guide” to take them around Tegunengun Waterfall. Thinking nothing of it, Natalie threw on a bikini, put a play suit over the top and scraped her hair into a pony tail ready to go to the waterfall and headed down to breakfast. Allan arrived at breakfast with smart trousers and a crisp white shirt stating he had burnt his legs and was trying to cover them from the sun but had trunks underneath. Natalie questioned his dress choice for a waterfall but moved passed it as she was excited for the tour. Both arrived at the beautiful location and was met by the “tour guide” Gus. Allan said that as part of the tour, he had paid for the photo package, and Gus would take some photos for them to take home at the end of the visit. Little did Natalie know what Allan had up his sleeve. Gus took Natalie and Allan to a ledge overlooking the waterfall and told them to stay there for a photo, Allan grabbed Natalie’s hands and began to tell her how much she meant to him and how much he loved her, then Gus gave Allan the thumbs up, Allan got down on one knee and asked Natalie to marry him. Natalie was in shock and flooded with emotions and exclaimed “Yes” before Allan had even finished asking her! Natalie grabbed Allan in a huge hug and her hand was shaking when he placed the ring on her finger. Allan then admitted that Gus was actually a photographer and was now going to take them on an engagement shoot. How romantic, what a magical experience, Allan really does think of everything. And now here we are, a wedding date is set and their next adventure about to begin...
