Shirley Heights Lookout
On my first visit to Antigua, we went to Shirley Heights and celebrated the New Year! They have a great restaurant and live music! Every Sunday they have drinks, bbq, and live music from 4pm-10pm! While up on the mountain there are also some historical ruins to see including a guard house, magazine and kitchen, officers’ quarters, adjoining parade grounds, a 40-bed hospital, canteen, and a cemetery, not to mention a fantastic view!
Pillars of Hercules
Jeremiah took us here the first time we went to visit! Go to Galleon beach and take a rocky walk around to see the Pillars of Hercules that have been carved out after years of relentless wind, rain and crashing waves.
Nelson's Dockyard
Located in English Harbour, Nelson's Dockyard is a cultural heritage site. See the beautiful yachts gathered in the marina!
Devil's Bridge National Park
Devil's bridge is a natural rock arch formed after years of waves hitting the cliffside. If the waves are strong enough, there is a place where the water shoots up from the ground just like a whale's blowhole!
