Diane and Rick have been besties since they met in junior high school and attended high school and college together, making Diane one of the few people in David and Rick’s lives who can attest that Rick began his university studies as a theatre major! Diane is the founder of a regional theatre company in their hometown of Racine, Wisconsin.
Best Man
Friends since 1987, Rick and James met in Evanston, Illinois and roomed together in Brooklyn when both were new to NYC. James attended Parsons and Rick opened stores for Sam Goody. James has been the make-up artist for two of David's music videos and he and Rick have remained close for all these years.
Best Woman
Susanna and David met in Pòrtchach Austria in 1990 at a piano bar where David was performing and she was visiting family with friends. She has been a wonderful friend to both David snd Rick all these years. In 1997 she gave David a most cherished gift, his godson Cole, who is also in today’s wedding party.
Best Man
David stalked Andrew in 2003 when seeking Irish lads to attend a St Patty's Day party he was throwing for Rick. It turns out Andrew's heritage is actually Polish, but being a good sport, he attended the party anyway and has been a dear friend to both David and Rick ever since.
Candle Lighter
Michael is Rick’s nephew and godson. Around about 45 years ago Rick was the candle lighter for Mike’s parent’s wedding — “Life’s like a circle make your own ending…”. Michael and his wife Niki chose David’s “Forever” for their first dance and engraved a lyric excerpt inside their wedding bands! There are lots of stories from over the years. The throughlne being his corrupting, er um horizon expanding experiences with his guncles. Ask him to recount some of the tales over a cocktail later!

Jesse, Rick and David have varying accounts of how they actually first met, but regardless, the result has been a great friendship that has spanned five+ years now. Jessie is the ultimate host and travel companion and he David and Rick have spent many holidays together

Claire is a long-time friend of David and Rick. Having met David in Europe in the 80's, she has been a generous friend for many years, welcoming and hosting not only David and Rick on numerous occasions but also David's mother and many of David and Rick’s now mutual friends in her Paris flat (sometimes for months at a time!) David likes to think that he is partially responsible for the birth of her lovely daughter Safia. LOL. A long story:-)

Amy and David met while staring at the same cute butt at a summer rooftop party. Amy won the stare and went home with the butt, LOL, but she and David have stayed great pals ever since.

Tim Cornett has been a friend of David's since their early childhood Sunday School days in Seattle, Washington. An awesome carpenter, he was to build David's dream house. It may sill happen!

Ken rescued David from living in his car in Laguna Beach, California. It's a long story, but David loves to tell it. Ask him about it any time. All these years later, Rick and David are great friends with Ken and his family, They have traveled the world together spending time in Hawaii, New York, Panama City Beach, Key West, Atlanta, New Orleans and Africa.
Candle Lighter
Cole is the son of David’s “best woman” Susanna and is David’s one and only beloved godson. Please know that he is perfect in every way and can do no wrong. Like his godfather, he professes red to be his favorite color.. They are also nearly the same height. ; )

Matt also rescued David from being homeless! Do you see a theme here? David and Matt met in his hometown of Sydney, Australia. An avid world traveler, Rick and David have met up with him in Provincetown, London, Australia and New York. He now resides in San Francisco and is very dear to David and Rick.

Katharina’s friendship with us began in Munich, Germany where she met and befriended David while he was on tour there. And yep, he crashed on her couch too! Katharina, who now resides in Switzerland, has maintained a great friendship with David and Rick over many years and neither of their birthdays are complete without a singing telephone message from Katharia wishing us a happy day.

Jeff and his partner Jason share a Halloween anniversary with David and Rick and there was much fear that they were going to jump in and try to score a double wedding date! Lol. David and Jeff met at a bar in the spring of 2001 and once they realized they were both from Seattle, their friendship fate was sealed.

Dean Morris is the brother David never had. Friends since the early 90’s, David’s mother loved Dean so much that one of her last wishes was that Dean and David remain close.

Rick and David’s friendship with Billy began in the late 90’s and blossomed during an awesome summer in Provincetown in the early 00’s. He and his husband Adam have since become chosen family. One of David’s greatest honors occurred when Adam chose to sing one of his compositions, “Beginning Again”, to his husband on their wedding day.

From the summer of his 20th year to the end of his 21st year Matthew Roy attended culinary school in NYC and he, Rick and David along with a group of other tight knit friends were inseparable. Taking the city nightlife by storm one weekend at a time. One of the most epic parties Rick and David ever hosted in their then new loft was the watermelon themed 21st birthday party thrown for Matthew. He’s all grown up now with a beautiful family of his own. David and Rick are very proud of him.

Elizabeth has been a loyal friend to both David and Rick since the beginning of their relationship in 1995. David and she met when they both worked at a hot 80’s nightclub in NYC where she wore a hot pink tutu! Ask her about it! Lol! …Maybe don’t.
