Question

Answer

DRESS CODE: Please wear modest apparel, covering shoulders, legs, and heads. Shoes are not to be worn within the temple or langar (lunch) hall. There are shoe cubbies provided to stow your footwear. If you forget a headscarf, bandanas are available for use in temple lobby. ENTERING THE TEMPLE: Once you enter the temple after morning tea and snacks you will see the hall has two sides. Women are seated on floor to the right and men are seated on the floor to the left. You will see Sikh guests first lining up in the aisle waiting to bow down in front of the Guru Granth Sahib (Holy Book). If you wish to participate, please bring a small money donation to place in the donation box, bow, and then find a seat on the floor on the appropriate side. *Smoking or drinking is not permitted on temple premises.
