Just two days after I landed in the States, our unique love story kicked off. We were both starting our Master's at the University of Houston and connected through a WhatsApp group for Fall 2018 students. Vishal, fatefully, offered to bring stuff from my hometown in India as he was leaving from there. Turns out, I needed meds I forgot to pack, so I hit him up. He happily agreed, and when he landed, we realized we lived in the same community. When he dropped off the meds, there was this undeniable spark between us. It felt like some magical force brought us together. And that's how our awesome journey began – a simple favor turning into an extraordinary love story.

Guess what? We've got not one, but two awesome proposals in our love story! First one happened on August 24, 2018 – exactly five years from when our journey began. Vishal spilled his feelings for me in a laundry room, and after a day of thinking, I was all in. He then set up a sweet proposal in his room, decked out with flower petals and leaves. Fast forward to 2022, on my birthday. Vishal pulled off a grand surprise at Liberty State Park in New Jersey, with the stunning New York skyline in the background. It wasn't just for me; he got my family involved too. It was pure magic with city lights and loved ones all around. Overwhelmed, I said yes, vowing to cherish his heart forever. So, from a laundry room confession to a cityscape proposal, our love story is filled with these special moments that define us.
