Question

Is there parking or transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! The Rockleigh will have onsite parking (including valet). Additionally, for those guests staying at the Hilton Pearl River as part of our hotel block, multiple shuttle services will be provided to and from the reception. Shuttle timings are as follows: 5:15 PM - Shuttle to Cocktail Hour at The Rockleigh 5:55 PM - Shuttle to Cocktail Hour at The Rockleigh 12:00 AM - Shuttle back to Hilton Pearl River from The Rockleigh 12:40 AM - Shuttle back to Hilton Pearl River from The Rockleigh We kindly ask guests to carpool during the morning of our ceremony. The Rockleigh is approximately a 10-15 minute drive from the Hilton Pearl River.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding ceremony is the best present. If you would like to honor us with a gift, we will have a wedding card box at our wedding ceremony and our reception, or you may contribute to our newly wedded fund on the "Registry" tab of this website. No boxed gifts, please.

Question

What's the itinerary for the day?

Answer

The wedding day begins in the morning with the Groom's side entering with lots of hype, music, and fun (what's known as the baraat). Next, the wedding ceremony will follow, and there will be lunch provided after the wedding. After the ceremony and lunch, guests can head back to their hotel to relax and get ready for the evening cocktails and reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please see details under each event. We would love to see all our friends and family wear Indian or Indo-western attire for our events, though it's not required (yes, even if you're not Indian!). For our ceremony, we would encourage guests to wear bright, fun colors for the ceremony. Please refrain from wearing blush pink, as this shade is reserved for the bride. For our reception, we encourage guests to dress up! Wear your best suit, cocktail dress, sari or lehenga.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP via our wedding website by August 1, 2024.

Question

Where can I buy Indian clothes if I'm interested?

Answer

For both men's and women's ethnic wear see links below https://www.lashkaraa.com https://www.kalkifashion.com Our favorite brand (and from our own family!) is HolichicbyMegha (https://www.holichicbymegha.com) - Use discount code radhikaswadeep Please reach out to Radhika or Swadeep if you're unsure!

Question

I've never been to an Indian wedding - what should I expect?

Answer

We know that for many of our guests, this will be their first time experiencing an Indian wedding. Indian weddings are just like you've heard - bright, colorful, full of food and dancing. Although family members and close friends may have a participative role during the festivities, the remainder of the guests are invited to sit back and enjoy.

Question

Can I bring a guest or extra family members?

Answer

Your RSVP card will include information on how many seats are reserved for your party. Please note that "Guest" indicates one additional guest on your RSVP card.

Question

What kind of food will there be?

Answer

We often say that the best part of an Indian wedding is the food. There will be a wide variety of dishes with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at each of the events. The food will be served buffet style, so that guests will have the option to choose what they’d like to eat. Please let us know if you have any food restrictions or allergies.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors at the Rockleigh.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we've elected to limit our ceremony to young adults (over 14 years of age) and children within our immediate family. Your RSVP card will indicate the number of family members (including children, if any). If you have any questions, please reach out directly to Radhika & Swadeep.
