We're getting married!

Nicole had the opportunity to lead worship for a youth retreat and through a mutual friend, Josh was invited to be a part of the worship team that weekend. Nicole saw something special in Josh as she spent time with him over those few days and desired to get to know him more. Nicole made the first move asking him to hang out, but Josh officially asked her to go on their first date just days later!

Nicole and Josh’s first date was brutally disrupted by the world shutting down due to COVID-19 on March 13, 2020. Josh’s original plan to go to a concert was cancelled and he ended up needed to make some last-minute changes. They ended up at Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. for dinner (YUM) and enjoying some tasty pie from Emporium Pies, both were luckily open in Bishop Arts. They came upon a jazz hall, which is now a favorite spot of theirs! They ended up enjoying some special music that they were originally hoping for! Then 11 months later...

Josh's original plan to propose at the retreat they met at a year before was interrupted by the snow storm of the century here in Texas in February 2021 (big moments in their relationship being disrupted by crazy events is becoming quite common!). Josh ended up proposing at one of their favorite date spots out at the Harbor in Rockwall. They braved the frigid weather to get some hot chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries just before he got down on one knee by the water! It ended up being the perfect place at the perfect time. Now it's time to get them married!
