We love downtown Des Moines and there are so many great places to eat, drink, and enjoy time with friends.  Here are a few our favorite spots including breweries, bars, restaurants, and some family friendly fun. Enjoy!

Awesome rooftop bar and restaurant, and BONUS!  It's located on the top floor of our reception venue.  We'll be sure to join you there!

The Republic on Grand

Great atmosphere, food, and drinks!  They have a large outdoor patio with firepits, bags, and plenty of space to hang with friends & family.

Big Grove Brewery & Taproom

If you like sour beers, this is your place!

Lua Brewing

Great vibe, food, and drinks.  The adjoining Surety Hotel has an awesome lounge, and it's where we had some of our engagement photos taken!

Mulberry Street Tavern

A delicious breakfast menu & an assortment of your favorite morning cocktails to choose from! They also have a sister location at 5525 Mills Civic Pkwy, Suite #100, West Des Moines.

The Breakfast Club

Amazing breakfast and coffee spot.  You can also visit them at St Kilda Cafe & Bakery in the Harbach Lofts at 300 SW 5th Street, Des Moines.

St. Kilda Collective

A super cozy spot with incredible wine, cheeses, and meats.

The Cheese Shop

Dangerously good cocktails, especially their Old Fashioned.  Tread lightly! :)

Winchester Public House

A former railcar building where you can grab a spot at one of their many long tables and enjoy a large food menu, 54 beers on tap, games, and live music.  One of our favorites and the perfect spot for our engagement party this past summer!

The Hall DSM

Pickleball anyone?!  Indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, along with bocce, shuffleboard, ping pong, bags, and arcade games.  They have two bars, a restaurant, and a silly amount of TV's for all of your sports-watching needs.

SMASH PARK

Tom thinks it's silly that I added this one, but I didn't want you think we only ate and drank our way around the city!  Beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens you can enjoy right along the river downtown.
