So what's the deal with the global pandemic?

Answer

With the rapid distribution of vaccines throughout the United States, we are expecting the wedding to proceed as planned. To protect the health and safety of the guests and employees of Pippin Hill, we ask that all guests be vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the wedding. We'll continue to monitor CDC guidelines and Virginia health and safety recommendations as August gets closer.

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. We'll be honest - we copied those sentences off the internet. We mostly trust your judgement on what to wear.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

By your popular demand, our default will be no children at the wedding. However, if you would otherwise not be able to attend, please shoot us an email, and we'd be happy to be accommodate!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes! As long as your date is named "& Guest."

What time should I arrive?

Answer

About half an hour prior to the start of the ceremony should be fine.

Is there on-site parking?

Answer

Yes, Pippin Hill has free on-site parking should you choose to drive. If you drive, please drink responsibly.

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Absolutely! Pippin Hill is a one-stop shop. The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

We're taking pictures prior to the ceremony, so we'll all go straight into the cocktail hour as the reception is prepared.

Will there be vegan/ vegetarian/ special diet options?

Answer

Absolutely! Please note your dietary preferences or restrictions in your RSVP.

Will transportation be provided to and from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, a shuttle will be running from both hotels to and from the wedding. Please check the "Travel" tab for more details.

What's Virginia weather like in August?

We'll level with you here - it can get a bit muggy. But the reception will be indoors and air conditioned, we promise.

Are there any other wedding weekend events I should attend?

Yes! Please check out the details for our Welcome Reception on the Schedule page. We'll also be holding a Monday morning brunch at the wedding hotel should you like to join.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
