Welcome

To our friends and family: We're so excited to celebrate our wedding with you. Find all the details you need to know about our big day here.

How We Met

The best relationships start as friendships. We met as classmates at Ole Miss. During law school, we shared several classes and spent many hours working and studying together. We became good friends in the process and enjoyed the early mornings and late nights at school (plus a few evenings spent at City Grocery bar). We went on our first date in our last semester of law school and are very glad we did!

The Proposal

11.24.22

Kirkwood carefully picked out the ring and successfully hid it for several months, but Rachel will say that she knew he was planning to propose (this is debatable). Even though he had plenty of time, he didn’t decide until the day before how he would propose to Rachel. On the morning of, Kirkwood came up with an excuse for them to spend the day on Dauphin Island. Rachel didn’t ask any questions, and they drove down. While they were on the pier, Kirkwood grabbed the ring that he had smuggled with them from deep in the cooler. Taking Rachel’s hand, Kirkwood got down on one knee and proposed. Rachel said, “Of course!” They spent the rest of the day enjoying that moment together, before sharing with family or friends. Back from Dauphin Island, they decided to stop by his parents’ house to share their news. When they got there, Rachel was surprised a second time when they were greeted by both of their families together to celebrate their engagement. It really was the perfect end to a perfect day.
