Shared Meal for dinner. Theme is southern comfort foods. Tulsa Crew: pick your favorite entree - chicken n waffles, chicken pot pie, fried chicken, etc Out of towners: dessert - cheesecake, pies, and pastries are some favorites Why a shared meal? I hear you - may seem strange for a wedding. The heart behind is again the reason we are gathering - Jesus and covenant. Before the Lord’s supper Christ sent his disciples to prepare for the Passover meal - it was at the Lord’s supper that Eucharist, communion was first given. We will be sharing in Eucharist during the ceremony and this shared meal is the extension of Eucharist declaring gratitude and unity.
