Tis the season to get married!

Jonathan Mulry

and

Rachel Mulry

December 16, 2023

East Brunswick, NJ

The Match

August 2020

It is no secret that Rachel & Jon met on an app during the pandemic. At the time Rachel was in Montauk and Jon was in Stamford. The two of them matched and immediately the conversation took off. They did not stop texting all weekend. Unfortunately, Jon was going through a hard time and he lost his best friend Romeo that weekend. Before they even met in person Rachel was “by his side” through it all!

Our First Date

August 2020

Rachel and Jon went on our first date in August of 2020. They spent the evening strolling through Stamford CT, ate at a steakhouse & played with baby Jada on Jon’s apartment’s rooftop!

The Proposal

April 9, 2022

As some of you may know, Jon has a really hard time keeping a secret and Rachel is really indecisive & hates surprises. So the two of them were open about discussing most of the details of their engagement even before it happened. Jon had Rachel’s best friend take her to try on rings, so that she could give him all the details to create her dream engagement ring (so she wouldn’t return it, ha). Jon had wild dreams about how he wanted to propose… one day it was on top of a mountain, the next day it was on a beach in Montauk, but when Jon picked up Rachel’s ring from the jewelry store, there was no stopping him. He had to propose that night. Jon made reservations at the steakhouse they had their first date at. Rachel thought the proposal was going to happen all night… but 2 hours into the dinner there was still nothing, except lots and lots of wine! By the time Jon proposed Rachel was quite tipsy and ugly cried for hours! She said yes and celebrated with family & friends!

Moving In

April 2021

It wasn’t long before Rachel & Jon got sick of driving back and forth between Mahopac and Stamford. Although we had the best of both worlds, city life & country life, they decided to move to Mahopac and give Jada a yard to run around in!

Becoming a Dog Mom

Fun fact, Rachel almost didn’t go on the date with Jon because he had pitbulls. Rachel came from a family that only had yorkies. At the end of their first date, Jon didn’t want the night to end, but he had to walk his new puppy. Rachel fell in love at first sight… with Jada. She is full of personality and has forever changed her perspective of the breed. Jada enjoys cuddling under blankets, playing with her toys, running around and playing with other doggie friends. Although she isn’t invited to the wedding, but drinks are on her ;)
