COVID Measures & FAQs

Friends and loved ones, we are carefully keeping an eye on the world to make sure things are as safe as possible. Below are a mix of suggestions for your personal safety, as well as measures we are taking. We strongly encourage getting tested before traveling and receiving the vaccine/booster as you are able. Please, even if you have RSVPed, if you are feeling sick, do not attend. We will miss you but would rather you stay home and get healthy than travel and risk yourself and others. Our entire event is outside and seating will be spaced to the max extent possible. Masks will be available for wear. We strongly recommend wearing one if you are not actively eating or drinking. Savannah, GA is currently under a mask mandate, requiring masks inside of all buildings/tours/busses. Below is the link to the city's website. https://www.savannahga.gov/3003/Emergency-Order
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

18 January 2022. Please contact us separately if there is something preventing you having an answer by then.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The gardens will be open to guests starting at 1630 (4:30pm) on the 18th.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal-ish. Keep in mind the event is outside, so your comfort is more important. We have heaters on standby should we need them, however, winter in Georgia is a very broad term.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We have been working with our caterer for known allergies. There will be GF, dairy free, and vegan options available. If there is an allergy we are not aware of, please let us know ASAP.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Ships of the Sea has a parking lot and it will be open to guests.

For all the days along the way
