How We Met

"Do it in a way so that I know it's You, God."

We met at ECU in Greenville, NC. He played tennis, and I played soccer. I was a year older than him, so I didn't view him as someone I could date. My brother is 2 years younger than me, so that was just WEIRD. BUTTTT, God. Through my pal, Court, we ended up going on a date my Junior year of college. It was a hard pass on my end, but he and I were in similar circles so we stayed acquaintances, friends, not friends, awkward friends, IDK. I graduated and went to work in Charleston, SC for 2 years. I am not even kidding, we did not talk but one time since my graduation, and that was to invite me to watch him and his team play in Charleston but couldn't make it. I knew his teammates as well and would frequently go and support them in the stands. Anyways, 3 years later, he slides into my DM's just to say he's glad to see me back on Instagram (I took a HUGE break from social media). We talked about my 180 degree career change, his school research stuff (something about neurosurgery something lol), and just caught up a little. Then, he asked to FaceTime, because it was too much to explain over message. I said, "Sure!" And then, it all changed when we started talking. I was like HUH? What are these feelings?! I prayed about it for like a month, then went for it, and here we are. TELL ME GOD IS NOT ALL UP IN THAT. So, He did it in a way I knew it was Him. Thee end. K bye.

For all the days along the way
