We'd like our guests to come in cocktail or semi-formal attire, but ultimately, we want you to be comfortable and feel like yourself! Keep in mind that early May weather on Priest Lake can be unpredictable. One hour it could be sunny and 65 degrees, and the next it could be cloudy with showers. In the evening, the temperatures can drop down to 30 degrees. The reception will be held inside, while the ceremony and dance floor will be set up on the lawn.
Priest Lake has only a few options for dining, most of which are located at the resorts. You'll find more options as you travel south to Coolin or Priest River. The same goes for buying any necessities, aside from what you'll find at the local mini marts.
Because Priest Lake is a more remote area, we don't suggest relying on Uber or Lyft. Guests should drive or rent their own vehicles when traveling to and from the venue. When in doubt, carpool! We want everyone to drive safe and find a designated driver if necessary.
Unless they have been added to your RSVP, we kindly ask our guests to leave their children at home. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
Traveling wedding guests should park in the main lot behind the restaurant and lodge. Guests staying at Elkins will have access to individual parking at their cabins.
Many of our guests have the option of bringing a plus one as specified in their RSVP. If your invite does not include a plus one and you'd like to bring your significant other, please let Aaron or Rachel know.
While you should have received your save the date, guests do not need to RSVP until we send wedding invitations in the Fall. After you receive your invitation, you will have 2 weeks to RSVP.
Guests coming from out of town and who are not staying at Elkins should arrive at the venue no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony start time at 3pm. This will give you enough time to park and make your way to the lawn to find a seat. However, guests are welcome to come earlier if they'd like to visit and mingle.
Rachel's wedding shower will be hosted on the Wednesday before the wedding with the hopes that family from out of town have the opportunity to attend! For more information, contact Maid of Honor, Megan Yorlano, at 509.960.1177
We ask that you refrain from taking pictures at the ceremony, so the videographer and photographer can work without any interference. However, guests are welcome to take as many pictures as they'd like during the cocktail hour and reception.
Yes! We've registered through Zola, which you'll find on this website. There are a variety of items, as well as a fund for our honeymoon. We ask that guests please order gifts to be sent to our home, instead of bringing them to the wedding.
In order to have a more intimate and relaxing evening, Aaron and Rachel have decided to limit their rehearsal dinner to just the bridal party. Unless your RSVP includes the Rehearsal dinner, we encourage other guests to enjoy some of the amazing food that Elkins has to offer! Later that night, the couple will build a bonfire at the Elkins beachfront, in which any guests are welcome to stop by.
