It was the weekend before my birthday when I was informed Garrett was sending my good friend Alex and I to the spa where we would then be pampered with a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure. The following morning, I had plans to get dolled up and meet some girls at The Brunch House for, you guessed it, brunch! We got a call towards the end of brunch from Alex's husband saying we should come down to our hang out spot - the Mona Lake Boat Club. Let me remind you, being all dressed up and having my nails done has still not clicked with me at this point. Once at the Boat Club, and after realizing the group of people under the Pavilion was not a graduation party, but rather a group made up of so many of our loved ones and friends from near and far, I could not help but tear up. I finally made my way to Garrett, who had been planning this shindig since MARCH (omg!), to give him a big ol hug when he offered to take a picture together. Me, still being oblivious as ever, did not pay much attention to the fact that nearly everyone that was once under the pavilion was making their way towards the willow tree that we were about to take said picture in front of. Before I knew it, Garrett was dropping to one knee and asking me to marry him. I very much blacked out, but I am assuming I said yes because here you all are, coming to our wedding website ;)
