Our Story(as told by Rachael😊)

Who knew a zoom meeting could be the place to meet the love of your life? Well that’s what happened to us! After being accepted to Bethel as construction servant, Steven was assigned to my congregation. Although the attraction was instant on both sides, it took a while for us to get to know each other better. After months of breakout rooms, zoom parties and multiples exchanges of hilarious memes(mostly me), we finally met in person at the Kingdom Hall. Sparks weren’t ready to fly just yet but it was a step in the right direction. Our friendship was solidified and we could finally spend some time in person. After over a year of observation and friendship, I decided to invite Steven to an end of summer cookout and that was pivotal(according to Steven lol) After that we spoke everyday! A few weeks later, he asked me out after Gilead graduation(That detail is important! You can ask Steven why😉). I knew early on that he was the one I asked Jehovah for and I fell in love. Thankfully he felt the same way! Now we’re planning our forever together and can’t wait to start our marriage with the ones we love most. See you on July 8th! I’ll be the one in white😁.

Our Story (As told by Steven 😂)

“She’s grown grown”. That’s the first thing I thought about Rachael when I asked one of my friends about her. To this day I still feel she is out of my league 😂. With that said it took me awhile to make my move because I knew that once I started going down that road of dating and marriage that I wasn’t going to want to turn back. On that note let me fill in some details because what Rachael doesn’t know is that when summer first started that I was already asking my friends about her. Now the reason this cookout was pivotal was because I was looking to see who she invited 👀 aka the competition because I knew that she was all that and a bag of chips 😂. Also it was a pivotal day because I found out that she knew how to cook and that is a true blessing right there!! She was definitely in my heart and I knew I wanted to get to know her more. Over the next few weeks we got to know each other as friends through hiking and talking on the phone which eventually led to Gilead Graduation. Truly a special day and I have to give a shout out to Brother Chilton who was the host of the inside story for the 152nd Class. He started out by saying “All of us have a story” and that was part of me asking Rachael out. I said to her in part that “I’m just trying to start a story with you”. Now despite some self sabotage on my part (not talking the whole hike and asking her near the least scenic part of the hike) she said yes and the rest is history. Extremely similar to one of my favorite Bible accounts I worked a figurative “7 years” or a little over a year for my “Rachael” and Jehovah being the amazing father he is, didn’t trick me and she’s everything and more that I could ask for in a woman. I can’t wait to spend the rest of eternity with her and with the rest of my family. July 8th is truly going to be a SENSATIONAL day and I can’t wait for you all to be there whether on zoom or in person. Love you all! P.S. I’ll be the one in Green!!
