We decided to TI(gh)E the knot in Newport for a few reasons. Primarily, we chose this location because of Bobby's roots to Rhode Island and the proximity for both of our families. We have spent a lot of time in the Newport area together and it was during those many drives from Boston to Rhode Island that we fell in love. Newport has the coastal New England charm we were seeking while also being urban enough to throw an awesome party! We were on a long awaited trip to Italy to celebrate another year together. Little did Megan know she was about to be celebrating the start of a lifetime together! After a long day of tourist activities in Rome, we were strolling through Villa Borghese at sunset, when Bobby dropped down to one knee. Megan was totally shocked, but of course it was the easiest "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Newport!
