In the hallway of North Forysth Middle, Parker asked Quillen "out" for the first time...by sending a friend, of course. Quillen immediately responded "no," then said, "who even is Parker Vaughan?" Little did she know the major role he would play in her life.

Despite rejection in 6th grade, Parker refused to give up. In 9th grade, Parker and Quillen had AP Human Geography together. He asked her to go out with him again, himself this time, and she said, "No." The next year, Quillen and Parker had Chemistry and AP World History together. Parker again asked Quillen to go out with him, and she said..."no." At the end of 10th grade, on the last day of school, Parker wrote his number in Quillen's yearbook and signed "don't come crawling back to me :)" (We have the physical proof). Guess she didn't listen!

Going into senior year, Parker and Quillen were on campus only part-time. During the first few days of school, Quillen encountered a scheduling issue and had to change one of the classes she was taking. Since most classes were full, she took what she could get: Forensic Science. That day she walked into the class a few minutes early and introduced herself to the teacher explaining why she had joined the class late. As she was turning to go find a seat, in walked Parker. They hadn't had any direct contact during 11th grade so this was their first interaction in a year. Their eyes met. They both smiled. Parker thought, "Uh-oh here we go again," and go again it went... except this time, a few weeks later, when Parker asked Quillen out on a date...she said, "Yes," and has said "yes" ever since.

Ever since they made it "official," Parker and Quillen have barely been apart...ask anyone. After three and a half years of dating, Parker asked Quillen to marry him on January 6th, 2022 at one of their favorite restaurants, Cafe Intermezzo. When he asked her to marry him, he told her that years ago as he sat in 10th-grade History watching her work, he thought "I'm going to marry that girl one day"...well, he was right!
