Quentin and Kendra's paths crossed several times as they grew up just a neighborhood block away from each other, but neither of them knew it. Many people would think attending the same middle and high school, running a season of indoor track together, attending a family friend's wedding, and even having several friends in common that would have made the connection, but it wasn't until they began working in the same building that they noticed each other. Quentin's first thought of Kendra was "Why does she look familiar?" and Kendra's first thought of Quentin was "This guy must hate me because he refuses to talk to me!" As time went on they started to realize moments that they had crossed paths. During Covid, they began talking because there wasn't much either were doing anyway. They went on their first hike through Darden Towe where Quentin in an attempt to be a gentleman hit Kendra with a branch giving her a small scar. She jokes that was him attempting to claim her. After several months of watching Pokemon and childhood anime shows, going on hikes, Quentin attempting to help Kendra cook, and movie nights Kendra finally asked Quentin "Ah so what do we call this?" and Quentin replied, "I don't know, but I told a girl I teach that you're my girlfriend." Through career changes, moving, adopting their dog, Spring, traveling, and years of binge-watching series, they realized that their connection was one meant for the best lifelong adventure together.
