Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

12600 North Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla, CA 92037

You've probably heard of its two world-class golf courses, but Torrey Pines has much, much, more to offer! Our favorite things to do here: - Torrey Pines Beach Trail: takes you up and through the natural reserve with amazing views of the Pacific and walks you down to the Torrey Pines State Beach - Torrey Pines Glider Port: watch the paragliders take flight off of the Torrey Pines cliffs as they float over the ocean for miles (there's also a cafe here in case you get hungry/thirsty) - Torrey Pines North / South Golf Courses: if you're a golfer, these courses can't be missed! Advanced Tee Time Bookings: https://www.torreypines.com/request-tee-time/ Waiting List: You can also go to the course first thing in the morning to put your name on the waiting list. This can be surprisingly effective.

Do yourself a favor and try at least one of these spots while you're here. The only place that you'll find better tacos is in Mexico! Taco Stand (any location) Tacos El Gordo (Downtown & Chula Vista) Oscar's (Pacific Beach) Mike's Tacos (Ocean Beach) Fish Guts (Barrio Logan) Las Cuatro Milpas (Barrio Logan)

San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo

2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

The San Diego Zoo is one of the best zoos in the country. We feel like we see something new every time we go so it never gets old. More importantly, though...they just got PANDAS! It's a great way to spend the day and puts you right by another gem of San Diego, Balboa Park! There is also a Safari Park that is worth visiting, but it's in a separate location from the main zoo in Escondido, CA (about 25 min away)

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park

Ladera Street, San Diego, CA 92107

They call it Sunset Cliffs because it's probably one of the best sunset views out there. But, there is fun to be had here at all times of the day. If you keep an eye on the tide schedule, it's a lot of fun to walk down to the bottom of the cliffs and explore tide pools and giant sea coves (just make sure you don't cut it too close to high tide!). *P.S. This is where we held our engagement shoot!*

Kate Sessions Memorial Park

Kate Sessions Memorial Park

5115 Soledad Road, San Diego, CA 92109

This is another one of the many amazing viewpoints that San Diego has to offer! Just a hop skip and jump from Pacific Beach! Take in the views of Mission Bay & Downtown while chowing down on some tacos, reading a good book, or catching a sunset.
