Question

Is this a kid-friendly event?

Answer

Unfortunately, the conservatory, namely the Palm House where the reception will be held, is not a kid-friendly area (perhaps because the plants are too enticing to kiddos!). We love your kids but hope that you will take the weekend to relax and allow them to bond with some other friends or family members who need a break less than you! If you were invited along with your teenager(s), you would have received a "[Last Name] Family Invitation" and you will be able to RSVP for them through the portal when you pull up your invitation.

Question

Will we be able to explore the conservatory?

Answer

YES! The conservatory will be closed to the public but open for an event for a few hours during cocktail hour and the beginning of the reception, but we will be in a private area. The conservatory exhibits will be open for wedding guests throughout the cocktail hour and reception, and we definitely encourage you to explore!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If we are anticipating that you may bring a date, they are listed on the envelope of your Save the Date and Invitation either by name or "and Guest". If you intend to bring a date, please be sure to fill in their name when RSVPing.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP online by April 11, 2024.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

There is ample parking at the conservatory if you would like to drive to the ceremony/reception. We will also be offering a shuttle from the Sonesta Columbus Downtown and South Wind Motel to the ceremony/reception and back at the end of the night (12 AM), details for which will be provided for folks traveling and staying at the Sonesta or the South Wind. If you decide to drive to the wedding, vehicles may be left in the lot overnight until 10AM. The venue is also accessible by Uber and Lyft. Please be safe!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive between 6 and 6:15 PM if you are not arriving via shuttle. The ceremony will begin shortly thereafter.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Yes, please see registry tab located at the top of this page.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Ohio State's graduation will be held on May 5, 2024. With this in mind, Columbus will be a bit busier than normal and we would recommend making a dinner reservation for Friday and/or a brunch reservation for Sunday if you were planning to travel May 3-May 5. Reservations can be made for most Columbus restaurants through the apps/websites OpenTable and Resy.

Question

Dinner reservations? Where though?

Answer

Great question! Some of our favorite restaurants accessible from the hotel blocks are Marcella's (Short North)*, Brassica (Short North, fast-casual), Schmidt's Sausauge Haus (German Village), Lindey's (German Village)*, Rooh (Short North)*, and any of the stands at The North Market (Short North, fast-casual). A bit farther from the hotels, but still within a short drive are some other favorites: Bonifacio's (Grandview)*, Mazah (Grandview), La Tavola (Grandview)*, Gemut (Old Towne East). Finally, you can't go wrong with a pizza delivery from Rotolo's, Donato's, Brenz Pizza or Yellow Brick! (*) those marked with an asterisk accept reservations.
