Every great romance has its own unique beginning, and ours is no exception. It all started with a simple picture and a bit of encouragement from our families. Sunny’s dad showed him a photo of Pushti and suggested he reach out. Little did Sunny know, he had already come across Pushti's picture on Coffee Meets Bagel, where he had given her a virtual coffee bean. With a trip to Philly on the horizon, he decided to give it a chance. Meanwhile, Pushti’s mom shared a picture of Sunny with her and mentioned that he lived in Philly, encouraging her to meet him. Though hesitant at first, Pushti decided to take a leap of faith and agreed to meet Sunny. As fate would have it, Sunny reached out, and soon their conversations began to flow effortlessly. What started as text exchanges quickly blossomed into late-night FaceTime calls that would stretch into the early hours of the morning. The connection was undeniable and deep, making every conversation feel like a new adventure. The next step was an in-person meeting. Sunny planned a casual date by the waterfront in Delaware, hoping to make a great impression. On that first date, Sunny arrived early and waited at the restaurant. Pushti, running a bit behind and without her glasses, didn’t spot Sunny as she walked in. She glanced around, missed his enthusiastic waves, and started heading toward the bar. Sunny had to make his way over and tap her on the shoulder to catch her attention. It’s a moment Sunny still fondly jokes about! As their relationship blossomed, the challenge of long-distance began. With Sunny in Connecticut and Pushti in Maryland, they made frequent visits to see each other, often meeting halfway. Despite the miles between them, their bond grew stronger, and it became clear that they had found something truly special. To make the proposal perfect, Sunny planned a surprise during a trip to Spain with Pushti’s friends. Before the trip, he convinced Pushti to pack a nice outfit for a “photoshoot” he had organized in Madrid. Though Pushti was a bit suspicious, she played along and picked out a beautiful outfit. In Madrid, while Pushti was getting ready, Sunny worked behind the scenes, coordinating with photographers, florists, and hotel staff to ensure every detail was flawless. On the day of the proposal, they arrived at Retiro Park, where Sunny pretended to hand his phone to a “photographer” for a picture. As Pushti posed, Sunny got down on one knee, and the rest, as they say, is history. Pushti’s radiant smile said it all. Our journey has been filled with joy, laughter, and love. We are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
