Hello and welcome to our wedding website! Look through the tabs and explore, and make sure to check out the FAQ's and the RSVP's w/ some questions attached! Below you'll find our story and some info about us. Our story is a long one, but we wanted to share for those still catching up on the last few pages or those who's first pages were torn out.
It all started in a high school theater class way back when we were just kiddos. We were nerds and film geeks with hearts full of love to give.. but boy, would we take our time with that one. We would spend our time in theater class always side by side and would talk about being future roommates with our nerdy Mario Christmas tree, buying vintage consoles to play all the time and even talked about framing a conversation between the two of us about playing Diablo together. We truly didn't see each other's feelings for one another despite our friends (and family) screaming at us about it.. constantly.
72 Hour Horror Film Fest. I knew a boy from High School that really liked films and had dreams of creating one. I also knew he was cute and a really good friend, and I needed that more than anything in those moments. We hadn't talked in what seemed like forever, but after just a few minutes of chatting and messing around it felt as though time froze and we got all that time missed, right back. Chatting over the few weeks and one thing lead to another and we had "a night out on the town". Rogelio knew I loved good food and the city and he made all that possible that night. A little mom n' pop pizza spot, a walk through Atlanta's streets, a trip in the Ferris Wheel overlooking all the city's sparkling lights all made the night feel mystical, magical and it felt right. We decided to take a rest from our adventuring and relax at the fountains in Centennial Park and that's when all my High School dreams came true. My high school crush also had a big crush on me.
There's nothing quite as cute as re-living your first date as a couple. A chilly December night, dressing up cute and warm for Christmas pictures and a secret plan set in motion. Hearts full and bellies empty, we headed out. We enjoyed our favorite pizza place over laughter and stuffing our faces, soaked in the outstanding views of the city skyline in the star-sparking night and come to our surprise as we reach the end of our date, the park where it all started was closed. Rogelio was hatching up a plan to jump the fence and risk it all in the name of love, but thankfully we spotted some beautiful Christmas lights off in the distance so we waddled our chilly bodies that way. We waited for the perfect opportunity for the best photo location, my mind still oblivious to the real intentions of that night, and when the time came I posed for the picture just for Rogelio to get down on one knee. I knew a boy from High School that was really sweet and always treated me with kindness. I knew a boy from High School who had the shyest smile that also lit up a whole room. I knew a boy from High School that was my dream come true.. and he asked me that night to marry him and I couldn't have asked for a better ending.
There's something magical about best friends in love. The "puppy dog love" never goes away. The spark is thriving, the connection and communication only gets better and our love always warms the home we live in. Every second is perfection. Every day is a blessing well deserved full of laughter, food, enjoyment, growth and peace. We are best friends that share and explore our passions together, try and learn new things together and listen and grow together and we couldn't be more thankful. We are happy and full nerds that love each other more and more every single day and it is the best feeling in the world.
