If you are flying in, Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids (1 hour and 13 minutes from venue), Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport in Portage (42 minutes from venue but limited airlines and more expensive usually), Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Romulus (2 hours and 19 minutes from venue), O'Hare International Airport (2 hours and 3 minutes from venue with tolls), or Midway International Airport (1 hour and 48 minutes from venue with tolls).
There will be a select amount of drinks provided before the ceremony. That will begin at 3 PM. There will be two beers, two wines and either a traditional mojito or a pink lemonade mojito. We ask that you are seated by 3:45 PM so the ceremony can promptly begin at 4 PM.
The dress code is cocktail attire. We are getting married in a vineyard so pastel colors would look nice. It will be late August, which usually means warm, so we suggest items that you are comfortable in during the heat. Please refrain from wearing white or cream colored dresses. We also ask that you do not wear jeans!
We ask that you RSVP by July 16th to allow us to have proper counts for our vendors. If you miss the deadline, we will mark you as not attending and will miss you on our Wedding Day.
We would love for everyone to come celebrate with us! The vineyard we are getting married at, as well as where our reception is held, is an active vineyard. The tasting room is also open to the public, but is a distance away. We ask that if you do bring your children, that you keep a close eye on them or have a specific person watching them while they attend to make sure they remain safe, as well as the vineyard. We will not have a specific person we will be providing to keep track of children and suggest making it a weekend to enjoy yourselves as adults!
We will include food allergy information in the RSVP to make sure we have everything covered. We worked hard to create a menu that has no MSG, is gluten free (minus bread service during dinner) and no tree nuts! Food is extremely important to us and we would like everyone to be able to eat everything comfortably. We will have Vegetarian options for the guests that include that in their RSVP!
It will be an open bar that includes liquor, beer, and wine. Please drink responsibly.
Our venue provides soda, water service, as well as coffee service. There will also be a limited amount of NA beer provided.
There is parking for the ceremony and reception. You will park and walk through the vineyard to get to the ceremony cite. It is a further walk through the vineyard so if you need accommodations, we will be happy to have someone help you!
We will be including plus ones in RSVPs. While we would love for you to bring someone, if we do not include a plus one in your invite please do not bring someone. Our venue can only hold so many people and we want to make sure the people who mean the most to us are there to celebrate.
Currently there will not be transportation to or from the ceremony. That could potentially change if a hotel provides one. We ask that you are drinking responsibly or have a designated driver for the night. We also recommend carpooling together!
