Our Venue & Palette

Stourhead, a stunning estate in Wiltshire, England, has a rich history dating back to the 15th century. Originally owned by the Stourton family, it was purchased by Henry Hoare I in 1717, who commissioned a Palladian villa completed in 1725. His son, Henry Hoare II, created the famous landscape garden, finished in 1770.
The estate remained with the Hoare family until 1946 when they donated it to the National Trust. Stourhead gained fame as a filming location for the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, where the iconic scene of Mr. Darcy's proposal to Elizabeth Bennet was shot at the Temple of Apollo.
In recent years, Stourhead has faced challenges from climate change, prompting conservation efforts by the National Trust. The estate continues to evolve while preserving its heritage, attracting visitors with its beautiful gardens and historic house, alongside cultural events that celebrate its legacy, including our soon-to-be iconic wedding.
