Pritesh was Sara’s first and only Hinge date during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Their first date was July 24th at Detroit City Distillery in Eastern Market. The date kicked off with Pritesh asking Sara if she was going to wear a mask the whole time as she forgot to take it off after they had been seated. Conversation flowed naturally even though they were shouting at each other over the blasting music. Needless to say, they did not stay 6ft apart. They enjoyed learning more about each other over cocktails and Indian street food from Midnight Temple. Pritesh walked Sara to her car at the end of the night and made plans to ask her out again.

Sara & her co-maid of honor Nicole planned a long weekend to Austin, TX to celebrate Sara’s 30th Birthday. Sara was told the Friday night (March 24th) that everyone was going to dress up for dinner and take pictures in a nearby park beforehand. The group split into two to Uber to the destination. Sara and Pritesh’s Uber went to the incorrect location and the driver only spoke Spanish. Sara used her rusty Spanish to try to get them to the right location, which stressed her out immensely, but somehow Pritesh kept his cool. Once there, Pritesh took Sara by the hand and walked her down a trail that opened up into a boardwalk over the water with the Austin skyline in the background. Sara was wondering why they were walking away from her friends, especially when the other Uber had not arrived yet. Pritesh was nervously chatting about random things and Sara started to piece together what was happening. What felt like a split second later, he stopped in front of her and got down on one knee! After the easiest “yes,” they had a photo shoot with the hidden photographer Pritesh had hired. Back at the hotel (while we were lost in an Uber), the other group of friends had decorated their room with balloons, flowers, and ordered champagne to be delivered when they got back. The rest of the night was a blast celebrating the engagement with their friends!
