Is there parking at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is limited in the parking lot on the weekend. You can also park on the side of the road. The restaurant Parking is also limited in Walnut Creek. There is street parking/small parking lot, I highly recommend carpooling, Uber/Lyft.

What is the fee to park at the ceremony?

Answer

$5/vehicle. I recommend carpooling or Lyft/Uber

Is everyone invited to the ceremony?

Answer

No, due to limited capacity given to us by the Park ranger - only a few can witness the ceremony. However, everyone is invited to the reception for bites, drinks, and dancing.

Are children invited to the ceremony or reception?

Answer

To allow all guests to be fully present and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for understanding. We know that finding arrangements for childcare can be challenging, please talk to the couple directly to figure out a solution.

Are dogs allowed at the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, well-trained, behaved dogs on leash are allowed. Dog entry to the park is $2/dog to be paid at the kiosk. Keep in mind there will be 4-5 dogs in my ceremony.

Will there be drinks/food at the ceremony?

Answer

The park allows beer and wine and non alcoholic beverages will be served at the park. Light appetizers at the ceremony

Do you have vegetarian option at dinner?

Answer

Dinner is buffet style with open seating. Vegetarian options will be available.

Salad, Mac & cheese, Tator tots, and Chicken pies.

Walnut Creek Marriott hotel is 3 minute driving or 10 min walk from the reception. We decided against a hotel block because room prices were more affordable online.

Walnut Creek is about 20 minutes from Oakland

What will the weather be like?

The Bay Area gets an Indian summer- expect high 80s to 100 degrees in Oakland or Walnut Creek. San Francisco is usually about 10 degrees cooler than Oakland.

Bay Area rapid transit. It’s our train in the Bay Area.

What is the closest Bart station to the ceremony?

Answer

Rockridge Bart station is the closest - can get a Lyft or Uber from there.

Answer

Walnut Creek Bart station is a 10 min walk or 3 min drive to the reception.
