Paul told Amanda to come up to their store, Third Coast Vinyl, around 5:30pm because they needed to “go to the library.” Amanda arrived earlier than expected, Paul was very secretive about the space under the counter. At 6pm, they closed up shop and went to Hackley Public Library, where they stopped to admire the Book of Kells before heading upstairs to the glass floor (Amanda’s favorite place in the world). Paul feigned interest in the EE Cummings, which he had read to her on their first date, bending down to pretend to look closer at the titles, and then down to the floor on one knee. Ugly crying and making out ensued, the rest is HISTORY.
