The mehndi function is where the bride’s hands and legs are decorated with beautiful henna designs, often inscribed with her to-be husband’s name. All the women of the family and friends also decorate their arms with mehndi. This ritual is meant as a good omen that welcomes the bride’s promising future; it is said that the darker the color of the mehndi, the more love and appreciation she will receive from her husband and in-laws. There will be a few light bites in addition to cocktails. Can't wait to see you!

A baraat is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving live music and dancing. While it does not hold religious significance, it is an important custom nonetheless. The baraat is meant to bring the groom to the wedding venue with much pomp and enthusiasm. The baraat is one of the key highlights of the main wedding day and takes place before the traditional vow exchange.
