Rescheduling the Wedding

We are sorry to cancel our wedding but an unexpected life event has taken place for our family and we are spending this time taking care of each other and rebuilding the health of one of our dearest. We appreciate all of the time, energy, planning, support, and gifts many of you have sent our way. Our plan right now is to reschedule the celebration for later this year when the celebration feels appropriate again. Thank you for being understanding. We love you all and appreciate your understanding. Daniel and Amber

Once Upon a Time at Community Tap....

They missed each other for years. It made no sense that the paths of Amber Posey and Daniel Fishel wouldn't cross until 2019. Daniel lived in downtown Greenville, one street away from Amber. In fact, he lived in the house directly behind hers. After that, he moved into a small basement apartment on McBee Avenue, 2 blocks from where she went to work every day. Daniel had a group of friends he went out with all the time. One of those friends was Amber's cousin and close confidant, Nikki, who would happily take credit for introducing the two fo them - because (spoiler alert!) she did, but truly fate had been trying to introduce them for years. It finally took a mutual friend of Amber and Nikki's experiencing the pain of a breakup to make it happen. They took her heartbreak to the back patio of their favorite haunt, Community Tap. Twenty minutes in, this tall, bearded man wandered up to Nikki. They hugged, made small talk and then Nikki introduced the future bride and groom. Daniel sat down next to Amber as her friends showed him pictures of a cake she made to look like Thanksgiving dinner. They were not so subtly matchmaking the pair. Daniel was outraged at the fact Amber left the deviled eggs out of the meal. It's a Southern tradition after all. He was right! What was she thinking and who was this guy calling her out on it? Before she could find out, the Tap shut down for the night. Daniel said goodbye like a gentleman and Amber said the same. Both of them were too shy and unsure to make a move in that moment. This is where Nikki gets her credit. She promptly texted Daniel and said he'd better text her cousin and take her out on a date. An hour later the text came through, and the two planned their first dinner together at Sidewall Pizza. Here they are, now, two years later. Happy, in love and very grateful for good friends, good beer, and an unfortunate breakup that helped them find each other, always blocks away and finally together.

Our Playlist

"Pins"

We spent our first date eating peach and gorgonzola pizza, drinking summery beers, discussing music, food, and making all of the small talk two nervous people could fit into a few hours. By the second date, Daniel created a playlist for me entitled "Pins", made up entirely of music he thought I might like. I thought "yikes." I mean, we talked about loving My Chemical Romance in high school and his favorite band was Coheed and Cambria. There's no way it was going to be good, right? It is to-this-day, my favorite and most frequented playlist on Spotify - made up entirely of songs that make me feel feelings. It was my first clue that I'd found a good listener in Daniel. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I do. It's especially great in the car. - Amber (copy and paste) https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0qpqJPWMcDQdI63Hh7wfz1
