Brittany was living in uptown with her friend Courteney, and Kyle recently moved to Minneapolis for a job at a local agency. One Sunday afternoon, Brittany & Courteney had found themselves with leftover beer from a housewarming party and needed help getting rid of it. Courteney invited someone she had been seeing to come over. He had been out with friends at brunch, and they gladly accepted the invite to drink free beer and watch football. That day, Kyle walked into Brittany’s apartment along with his friends, and the two quickly hit it off. Since then, they have shared tons of exciting adventures and look forward to decades more.

Kyle took Brittany out under the guise of doing a hike and family photos with their dog. Brittany was very excited about this idea because Kyle usually wasn't one for photos, and they didn't have any great family photos. They went out to Willow River State Park just across the river in Hudson, WI, and enjoyed a day of hiking the week after the pandemic had set in (late March of 2020). They tried to go down by the falls, but Kona was not having it. Instead, on their way back, they found a nice little spot next to the river. Kyle setup the camera ready to 'take photos,' and then proceeded to shock Brittany by dropping down on one knee and pulling out a little black box. She very happily said yes.
