Happily Ever After Party!

Our love has been anything but conventional. A few months after we matched on a dating app, Kyra had been thinking about Ed's profile and decided to send him a message on social media. Ed responded to tell her that he was going to continue to "work on himself" and hoped "it would be cool if I reached out if things change"...which only made Kyra (a mental health therapist) more interested. She shared that she understood and thought that she would never hear from him again. Luckily, she was wrong and Ed reached out about a month later. Despite her interest, when Ed asked her on a date, she chickened out shortly before and spent several hours on facetime instead. When we finally did meet, Kyra recalls feeling an immediate sense of calm with Ed and our connection was natural and comforting. It didn't take long for us to grow our connection, meet each other's people, and for Kyra to spend increasing amounts of time at Ed's and on the farm. Our love grew quickly with security and stability for both of us. We are both big country music fans and the song Detours by Jordan Davis has resonated with both of us. As we got to know one another, we realized we likely had missed connections at parties and have several people who have known us both for years. As we tell one another stories, we often joke that we would not have liked each other in other stages of our lives. We both firmly believe that all of our "detours" made us the partners we needed each other to be and that life brought us together at the right time to have a lifetime of love. Because of this, getting married is about having a stable, lifelong love much more than it is about our wedding day. It is meaningful to us to start our happily ever after with a casual, stress-free celebration of our love with the people in our day to day lives.
