JFK is the closest. LaGuardia is further but still reasonable. Please try not to fly into Newark as it will be an epic journey from NJ to Brooklyn.
Don’t get in the taxi line. It’s a trap! The cheapest and easiest way is to reserve a car to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. I call the night before to reserve the pick-up and then call again when my plane lands to let them know I’m on schedule. Information about my favorite car services is on the travel page after the hotels. It should cost $35.00 + tip.
I have compiled a list of local hotels in the travel section of this website. I chose them for location, price and good reviews to help take the mystery out of Brooklyn hotels and to keep us all centralized. If you are traveling as a group and would like to share an Air B&B that sleeps 6-8, I have found some great options for larger groups close to the events. These are of course subject to availability so please let me know if you book one so I can take it off of the list. Links to the website are in the travel section after the car services.
