Zach and Sarah will be having a small and intimate ceremony consisting of only siblings, parents, and grandparents on June 3, 2023, a week prior to the reception. We still want all of the people that we love to be a part of this special moment so we are inviting everybody that has played an important part in our lives to please join us in celebration at our reception. A video of our wedding will also be played at the venue for our friends and family to witness the unity of our marriage. We are so excited and look forward to seeing you!
They met through a mutual friend, Zach's then-roommate, during Sarah's first week as a freshman in college. They all became best friends immediately. Sarah was named the "unofficial roommate" because she seemed to spend more time hanging out at their apartment than her own. Whenever they weren't in class, Sarah was welcome to use her own spare key to go do homework there, and the nights usually ended laughing around the fire pit in the backyard and arguing over which movie to watch. This continued for about three months until Zach was diagnosed with stage 4 AFH cancer. The days following were filled with quiet car rides, hugs, and many tears. Sarah was there for Zach during this hard time and he realized just how special she was, causing their friendship to grow into a great relationship. The next two years were spent going to blood banks, radiation, chemo, surgeries, and so many more doctors' appointments together. Along with the occasional surfing and dirt biking whenever he was up for it. Finally, Zach beat cancer, and it didn't even take a month before he asked Sarah to marry him.
